At It Is Well Foster Care, we serve children and families who are facing the greatest challenges. Our highly trained, dedicated staff works to ensure that every child lives in a safe and supportive home with a nurturing family. We support caregivers to shape better lives and brighter futures for children.
We are a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization that is in the process of obtaining a license in the state of Georgia. In the meantime, we will continue to strive for excellence in making a difference in the lives of children. Our foster care program provides stable, loving homes for children and teens from infancy to 18 years of age who are unable to live with their biological families. Children referred to the program are often victims of abuse and neglect and have special emotional needs. We facilitate foster care homes throughout multiple counties within region 5.
It Is Well Foster Care, Inc. accepts children of all genders, between the ages of one day old through 18 years old. The agency accepts children that are fost-adopt placements, high-risk infants and toddlers, and children with behavior problems. It Is Well's goal is to provide care, supervision, and well-being of children males and females from 0 to 18 years old and to provide them with the kind of ongoing therapeutic services and skills training which will meet their problems and needs. It Is Well's services are individualized, culturally relevant, trauma informed and family centered. It Is Well supports children and families from different backgrounds or experiences, including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identify, or a child who is gender non-conforming, as well as children who are victims of sex trafficking.
“There are two gifts we should give our children; one is roots, and the other its wings” Unknown
We are called to provide a line of defense for our collective children. This is achieved through fortifying both children and families impacted by abuse and neglect. We build resourcefulness, resiliency, and supportive relationships through innovative, case management and clinical services so that every child has a chance at a brighter future.
Our vision is that all children and youth have the opportunity to
enjoy safe and healthy lives nurtured by receptive adults.
We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say ‘It’s not my child, not my community, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.
